Welcome to Southern Grace

SOUTHERN GRACE HAS RETIRED!!

Sunday evening, November 6, 2011 marked the end of over 15 years of ministry as all former members of Southern Grace Quartet came together for a Farewell Concert at First Baptist Church, Texarkana, TX.  It was a tremendous evening as over 800 friends and family came together to celebrate our Farewell evening.  Thanks to Lee Longino, Gary Brown, Greg Fletcher, Wylie Stevens, Doyle White and Mark Hancock (all former members) for helping make this a memorable evening.  We would also like to thank all the Pastors and churches over an eight state area who opened their doors for Southern Grace to come and minister.  May God richly bless each and every one of you.  To God Be The Glory!  Amen and Amen!!

In July 1996, an unlikely mixture of talent came together when five men from the same church choir joined forces to form the Southern Grace Quartet. From that humble beginning, Southern Grace has now become a much sought after quartet that travels throughout the central part of the United States. They are active members of the National Gospel Music Association, Four States Gospel Music Association of Texarkana, Texas and the South Texas Gospel Music Association of San Antonio, Texas. Additionally, they are voting members of the Dove and Grammy Awards.

One of the most exciting aspects of Southern Grace, other than their music, is each member is an ordained minister or deacon in their local church. Each one remains actively involved in the ministry of their home church on the days that don’t find themselves out on the road. God has brought together in the lives of these men the perfect combination of Southern Gospel music, and life changing testimonies so that they might bring the Gospel to those still searching in a concise and easy-to-understand way. A Southern Grace concert will also lift up the body of Christ and reinforce and proclaim that “God’s Grace Is Sufficient.”

You will also have the opportunity to hear and see one of this country’s most talented pianist, Chip Bricker, who received the Agape Award for Musician Of The Year in 2007. You will also have the opportunity to hear William Boyd Chisum, who is a 2007 Grammy and Dove Awards Nominee for his song “He Still Moves The Stone.” Boyd is also an international best selling author, for the story of his life “Chasing The Wind”. In the late 1970's, Boyd toured with such famous artists as Russ Taff and the Imperials, The Archers, Reba Rambo, Jerry Clower and a young new artist at that time, Amy Grant.

Not only has each member of Southern Grace placed their individual stamp on Southern Gospel Music but also collectively as a group they are “Walking On New Ground.” Southern Grace has been blessed to share the stage with several national recording groups such as Gold City, Sue Dodge, The Stamps Quartet, Tribute Quartet and Ivan Parker.   Additionally, they have had singles reach the Top 40 chart in 2008-2009.

Don’t miss your opportunity to experience a morning or evening service with Southern Grace Quartet. They come not “with” an attitude but “in” an attitude of humble service to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
