Southern Grace
Quartet
to play the Official State Theatre of
Louisiana,
Saturday, November 8th.
Southern Grace is excited about the opportunity to open for Gold City at
Shreveport's Historic Strand Theatre.
Declared by the Louisiana Governor as the Official State Theatre of
Louisiana in 1984, this former movie house was originally built in 1925.
It
was touted as the "Million Dollar Movie Palace" and was the first air
conditioned building in downtown Shreveport. The acoustics have been
proclaimed by many artists as the "Best in the South".
Strand Executive Director Danny Fogger said " I am very proud to be
presenting Gold City, an icon in southern gospel music. When I looked
for an
opening act, in my mind, there was only one option. I was delighted when
Southern Grace Quartet agreed to play the Strand. It will be an awesome
evening of gospel music in what I believe to be, the finest venue in
north
Louisiana.
