Letters of Recommendation:
COWBOYS FOR JESUS CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP
April 27, 2008
To Whom It May Concern:
Southern Grace ministered at our church last Sunday and it was a day to
remember as is any day when the Lord manifests Himself and moves in our
midst. All the guys are great and their personalities blend together and
God uses them in an anointing that is fun but very moving. Our folks were
touched by the Holy Spirit as each one ministered in his unique gifting.
Mark and Don are both very sensitive to the Spirit and move as God leads.
Either one could preach at the drop of a hat, and they all have a real
heart for serving God’s people. Chip is very gifted and talented and
makes sure that there is enough humor to keep all of us from taking
ourselves too seriously.
We look forward to having them back for the Wimberley Gospel Music
Festival on October 10 and 11 and they will certainly bless any
congregation who gives them an opportunity. I recommend you give them the
whole service and let the Spirit move. Our service is normally over by
12:30 and the ministry continued until around 1:30 and there was not a
single complaint about the time or being late for lunch. God bless you
Southern Grace.

One of the
great joys of any pastor is to see the lay-persons of the church filled
with a passion to use their own gifts and talents in the Lord’s service.
That is exactly the experience and blessing I have had watching four men
in our church as they have blended not only their voices, but moreover
their hearts to become a team of servants in the ministry of music.
Southern
Grace is a gospel quartet of the highest caliber. Their music will speak
for itself. But what excites me most is that these men sing from their
hearts. Our world is full of entertainers, even Christian entertainers.
These men are servants with a desire to lead their listeners in worship.
This is because they each love Jesus. They are faithful husbands and
fathers and witnesses. Long before the quartet was formed they were
Sunday school teachers and deacons and ministers in a wide variety of
ways. Music only gives them a common source of service as a family.
I
recommend these men without any reservation. They humbly stand before
your church in submission to the Lordship of Christ. They will not flaunt
their talent in any arrogant display that will dishonor their Master, and
they will bring you a blessing in the process.

Southern Grace Quartet started out with 4 guys getting together to sing
Southern Gospel music in the choir room of First Baptist Church Texarkana,
TX. That was over 11 years ago, and today they still have that same love
for southern gospel music, but now they are sharing it with churches all
over the mid west. But even beyond their love for music is their deep
abiding love for their Savior.
Southern Grace’s goal is to lead people into Gods presence through music,
testimony and the sharing of Gods word. You will be blessed by having them
in your church. Be ready for a blessing and a wonderful time as they lead
you in praise of our Heavenly Father.

"The
music ministry of Southern Grace Quartet really touched the hearts of our
people. The Holy Spirit was present and several people rededicated their
lives to Christ that night. These guys are definitely anointed by God to
reach people for Christ through their music ministry."

“It
has been my joy the last two years to have Southern Grace share their
obvious gifts and tremendous talents as they ministered to our
congregation. Their hearts are sincere! Their excitement is contagious!
And their music is balanced with the classics we love as well as powerful
new songs performed only by them. If you want more than the “same old
stuff” then this group is for you!”

“I
have had the privilege of working with Southern Grace Quartet on several
occasions in two different churches where I served as pastor. Southern
Grace was a blessing to me and really related to the congregation. They
sang from their heart God's message in song and had fun as they pointed
folks to Jesus Christ. I believe all of the guys genuinely love the Lord
and have a desire to serve Him through their music. I don't often
recommend folks, but I do recommend Southern Grace without reservation.”

“Thank
you for the inspirational words and songs that you brought to our church
family. God has blessed you with a beautiful and useful talent. The work
you have done here tonight will glorify God and encourage our folks to
serve Him all the more. Thank you for letting the Holy Spirit work
through you. Our gift, though not much, was given out of love for the
Lord, His work and the ministry He has begun in you. Your work will
produce fruit because we trust in God for the results.”
